Vintage Inspired Diamond Rings
Some people fall for a ring their grandmother wore. Others just like the way older pieces look: tiny beaded edges, engraving down the sides, a stone with a warmer, softer sparkle than a modern brilliant.
We get it. We also get the worry that comes with buying a real antique. Worn prongs, a band that's been resized three times, and no paperwork on the diamond.
Our vintage style diamond rings give you the look without that guesswork. Every ring is newly made and set with a GIA or IGI certified lab grown or natural diamond. If you have a family stone, we can build a new setting around it too.

It usually comes down to a handful of details, and you don't need all of them.
Jewellers in the early 1900s did most of the work by hand, so their rings had texture. Edges finished in milgrain, open filigree under the stone, patterns engraved along the band.
Later on, some of that softness gave way to straight lines, step cuts and a lot of symmetry.
These are the details people point to most when they show us inspiration photos:

Choosing Your Style
Vintage is a wide word. Two rings can both look vintage and have almost nothing in common, so it helps to know which details you keep coming back to.
Some vintage rings are light and lacy. Think very fine, open metalwork with plenty of filigree, milgrain and little diamonds worked into delicate patterns. Platinum suits this look best because it holds tiny detail so well.
Others are bolder and more geometric. Clean outlines, step-cut emeralds and Asschers, crisp baguettes running down the sides.
Then there's the softer, chunkier look, with cushion shapes close to the old mine cuts of the 1800s.
You don't have to pick one. Plenty of clients pair a geometric centre with a lacy, detailed band, and it works.
Bring a few screenshots of rings you love. We'll usually spot the pattern before you do.
Small things, mostly. But they're what make a ring look like it has a past.

Those tiny beads of metal you see on old rings, pressed along the edge of the band or halo. Up close they soften everything. From a distance it just looks right.

Step cuts, baguettes, a lot of symmetry. If you like straight lines more than curves, start here.

Little patterns cut into the sides of the band or under the stone. Most people won't see it unless they're holding your hand, which is sort of the point.

Cushions and old mine style stones have chunkier facets, so the sparkle comes in bigger flashes. We can find diamonds cut to give that effect.

Circles of small diamonds around the centre were around long before they trended online. They add width, and the middle stone looks bigger.

Yellow and rose gold suit most vintage designs. Going for fine, lacy detail? Platinum holds it best, and for decades.

Antique vs Vintage Style
Honestly, sometimes yes. If the history of one particular ring matters to you, nothing new will replace that.
But antique rings come with trade-offs. Prongs and milgrain wear thin over a hundred years. Old diamonds often have chips around the edge. Many were never graded, so you're taking someone's word on colour and clarity.
A new vintage style ring gives you a certified diamond, fresh metalwork and a warranty, in your exact size. And if you have an heirloom stone, we can reset it in a vintage style setting that's safe to wear every day.
Here's how we bring a vintage idea to life.

Share photos, sketches or a family ring, and we'll talk through the look you want, your budget and how often you'll wear it.

Compare certified stones side by side, including cushion and step cuts that suit older designs.

Approve a 3D model with every bead and engraving in place, then we make it in 14K, 18K or platinum.
If modern rings feel a bit too sleek for you, a vintage style ring gives you character without the risks that come with an old piece.
Milgrain, engraving and filigree reward a second look, and people do look twice.
Fresh prongs and a solid band mean you can wear it daily without worrying about worn claws.
Want filigree with a step-cut centre? Initials inside the band? Go for it. It's made for you.
