Timing does not always cooperate. If your custom piece is still in production or in for service and you need a ring in hand, SMC Diamonds may offer a loaner ring. Here is how it works and what you are responsible for.

Loaner rings are offered at SMC Diamonds' discretion and subject to availability. The client bears the cost for loaner ring services, and the service must be fully paid in advance before the loaner ring is released.
The loaner ring must be returned in similar condition to how it was received. Loaner rings remain the property of SMC Diamonds at all times and may not be resized, engraved, altered or transferred to another person.
If a loaner ring is lost, SMC Diamonds has the right to recover the loss from the client's deposit or payment. Where the value of the loaner ring exceeds the original order amount, the client must pay the difference in cash, debit or e-transfer.
Loaner rings are not covered by the limited lifetime manufacturing warranty, are not eligible for exchange or store credit, and do not include complimentary resizing, engraving or cleaning services. Those benefits apply to jewellery purchased from SMC Diamonds by the original purchaser named on the invoice.

This policy is governed by the laws of British Columbia and the applicable federal laws of Canada, and does not exclude any consumer right that cannot legally be waived. Loaner ring terms form part of SMC Diamonds' Terms and Customer Policies.
