No-Refund Policy

All completed sales are final. SMC Diamonds does not provide refunds for change of mind, personal preference, relationship changes, delayed or cancelled proposals, failure to collect jewellery, circumstances unrelated to product quality or conformity, or custom, personalized and special-order products.

Exchange Policy for Eligible Standard Jewellery

Eligible standard, non-customized jewellery may be exchanged within 15 calendar days after collection or delivery.

Eligibility Requirements

• The item must be unworn and in its original condition, with no scratches, damage, wear or alteration
• The item must not have been resized, engraved or customized
• The original receipt, packaging, grading report and accompanying documents must be returned
• The item must pass inspection by SMC Diamonds

Final-Sale Items

• Custom-designed, made-to-order or special-order products
• Engraved, personalized, resized or altered products
• Jewellery manufactured to a specific ring size or specification
• Loose diamonds or gemstones sourced for a particular client
• Items showing wear, damage or alteration
• Appraisal, shipping and service charges
• Clearance products or items identified as final sale

How Exchange Value Is Applied

An eligible product may be exchanged for another product of equal or greater value, with the client paying the difference and applicable taxes. If exchanged for a lower-priced product, the remaining amount will be issued as store credit.

• Store credit expires 12 months after issue
• It is non-refundable, has no cash value and cannot be applied retroactively
• The client must present or identify the store credit when using it

Inspection at Pickup or Delivery

Clients are responsible for inspecting their jewellery at collection or promptly after delivery. Any concern that the finished item does not reasonably correspond with the approved written design or specifications should be reported within 15 calendar days. Reporting a concern does not automatically qualify the item for a refund or exchange. SMC Diamonds must first inspect it. If a material discrepancy is confirmed, SMC Diamonds will correct, repair or remake the affected component as reasonably appropriate. The 15-day reporting period does not eliminate rights concerning latent manufacturing defects or legal rights that cannot be waived.

Submitting an Exchange Request

Email info@smcjewels.ca with the original purchaser's full name, invoice or order number, a description of the concern, clear photographs or videos where applicable, and current contact information. Submitting a request does not automatically confirm exchange eligibility. SMC Diamonds must receive and inspect the jewellery before making a decision.

Applicable Law and Consumer Rights

This policy does not restrict any cancellation, refund or other right that cannot legally be excluded under applicable consumer-protection legislation. These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the applicable federal laws of Canada.
