Elongated Cushion Engagement Rings
Same rounded corners, same bold sparkle as a regular cushion. The only difference is it's longer, more rectangle than square.
That bit of extra length changes the whole ring though. It feels more modern, covers more of your finger, and usually looks bigger than a square cushion that weighs the same.
We set GIA and IGI certified lab grown and natural elongated cushions at our Granville Street studio, from bare solitaires to full halos.

Fun fact: radiants, ovals and elongated cushions are basically cousins. People bounce between them all the time.
Radiant felt a bit sharp? Oval felt a bit round? Then this is probably your one.
Honestly the fastest way to know is to try all three on. Your call, really.

Choosing Your Elongated Cushion
Here's something that surprises people. There's no official line where a cushion becomes elongated. It's just a bit longer.
Around 1.15 it's subtle. Past 1.30 it's properly long and people sometimes mistake it for a radiant. Pick what you like, honestly. Nobody's checking.
Have a look at the sides too. Some curve out, some are almost straight.
Still stuck? Try two on. Hang on to the one you don't want to give back.
A few setting and metal choices that suit this shape especially well.

Four prongs on a slim band. Clean and modern, and it shows off the full length of the stone.

Warm metal makes the stone look soft and a little vintage. Lovely with a warmer colour grade.

Compare a 1.15 and a 1.30 side by side. The difference on the hand is bigger than the numbers suggest.

Wearing It Every Day
No sharp points to worry about, so regular prongs do the job just fine.
Since the stone's a bit longer, it can sit a touch higher than a round would. If you want it flush against a wedding band, mention it and we'll adjust the height.
And like any ring you wear every day, bring it in once a year. We'll check the prongs, tighten anything loose and give it a proper clean.
Here's how we build one with you.
Who's this shape for? Basically anyone who wants long and elegant but not sharp.
It covers more finger, so it reads bigger than a square cushion of the same weight.
Rounded corners with that big chunky cushion sparkle.
You'll see way fewer of these than ovals.

Just the stone and a slim band. The longer outline does all the work.
A halo around a longer cushion adds even more length and a lot of extra sparkle.
